RFID Blocking Credit Card Sleeves

This article was written by one of our customer.

Few months back I have reviewed a very interesting product that is a boon for credit and debit card holders- RFID Blocking Credit Card Sleeves. Recently I got 3 RFID blocking credit card Sleeves of different patterns. You can buy them online.

rfid blocking sleeve comes in different colored patterns. At first I thought they are made out of paper but I was so wrong. The credit card sleeve is made from copper layer coated with a glossy paper and a layer of smooth aluminium interior that protects RFID chip on the cards. It is just the size of a regular credit or debit card. It holds only one credit or debit card. The card fits nicely in the sleeve and does not tend to get loose. At first, I found it difficult to take the card out but with regular usage it has slightly loosened and you can take out the card with ease.

All the designs are very pretty and attractive. The blocking sleeves come in 2 styles- side load and top load style. I got 2 top load styles and 1 side load style.

The sleeve fits easily in the credit card slots of my wallet. It looks stylish and pretty and I got many compliments whenever I take it out to make payments in stores. It is definitely a high quality blocking sleeve. I have been using it for more than two weeks and I have not seen any signs of wear and tear (May be because I handle my things with care! ). Though I do have one RFID credit card but I have not faced any issue of theft and just use it for protection and of course for style statement. Digital pick pocketing is quite common in US/UK and these sleeves are quite helpful there.

RFID Blocking Sleeves are great credit cards and debit cards protectors that not only protect your cards from theft but look stylish and pretty. I am so happy they have come up with designs. I would highly recommend them to everyone.

RFID blocking sleeves prevent RFID cards from being illegally scanned

This story is written by one of our customer.

I have had my credit card information stolen more than once. Thankfully my bank is amazing and catches it before I do. Just a few weeks ago they called me on a Saturday to ask me if a charge from London, England was mine. It wasn’t. Obviously. About a month before that, I had the same thing happen with my PayPal Business card. Someone had the number and was using it to make all kinds of purchases and thankfully the $500 charge alerted me. It also didn’t go through, thank goodness. A week earlier and it would have before I caught it. Probably.

With that said, I don’t know where my information has been compromised but with credit card thieves using scanning devices to get close to you and your purse, to simply swipe and get all your information, I don’t trust anything anymore. I was given a chance to review these RFID blocking sleeve and I love them. I finally feel safer.

RFID blocking sleeves

There are tons of these out there, no doubt – but what makes these different is how cute they are. They are so feminine and I like how stylish they are. As you can see in the photo, my card simply slips inside the sleeve and then the entire sleeve actually fits in each credit card holder in my wallet. I was surprised by how easily they fit inside.

And I was also surprised that I was still able to slide them into my wallet and not add a lot of bulk. Score!  Safety is a priority and not having my information stolen in a #1 priority and with these RFID sleeves I feel a certain sense of security.

RFID Sleeves are made of a durable Tyvek fiberbond exterior combined with the patented RFID shielding alloy lined card sleeve technology that blocks radio waves and prevents scanners from reading the chip inside your cards and passport. That's why it's important to keep your cards and passport inside a shielded holder at all times, unless asked by the authority to remove it for inspection.

woven RFID Wristbands at Music Festivals

Popular events across the world such as rock band festivals and pop star concerts are employing the use of fabric wristbands in huge volumes. This phenomenon, started by UK event organizers is slowly spreading across to reach distant places like US and Australia. Because of the lesser costs associated with their production and high utility value, festival wristbands are gaining popularity. These days, you will notice the use of wristbands at a lot of places. Teenagers are adopting them to make a bold statement such as making people aware about their affiliation towards certain clubs, groups, music bands or school of thought.

fabric wristbands

Mainly, woven RFID wristbands are serving multiple utility in festivals and concerts. Here are the ways they are being effectively employed at such places:

To advertise the sponsors: Sponsors are slowly inching towards wristbands as a means of advertising their brand. A person looks at his hand innumerable times throughout the day and when there's a wristband with the logo of sponsors, the name will slowly enter inside the sub-conscious thought. This will increase brand affinity and recognition. In fact, sponsors of such events are ready to bear the cost of the wristband suppliers on the condition that they get a space to advertise their logo on it.

To identify people: Rather than doling out tickets during purchase, event organizers are distributing different colored wristbands indicating different sections of seating, such as premium, back row, prime, normal etc. VIPs in particular are being given ID holder lanyards with a VIP ID card and slap bracelets with VIP imprinted, so that security guards allow them to go backstage!

Keeping a track of people: Futuristic wristbands and bracelets are being developed that contain RDIF tags. Whenever a person enters the venue, the count of people will automatically be increased. This way, event organizers will know how many tickets have been sold and what's been the actual turnout. It can help them for future events if they have a proper count of the number of people attending their events. If the numbers are lesser than expected, they will know where they fell short of marketing!

You can see, in a single festival itself, there can be multiple utilities of lanyards, bracelets or wristbands. Apart from rock concerts and music festivals, wristbands can be effectively used at personal events such as birthday parties, family get-together and family festivals. In birthday parties, they can be customized to print the name of the host and the number of years he/she has completed. People will keep it with them as a sweet souvenir and cherish it. At family festivals, they can be used to segregate people on the basis of their age group or the duties assigned to them! So more and more people use RFID wristband now.
